Hanson Robotics, creator of human-like robots and smart software, introduced “Han” at the Global Sources Mobile Electronics show held in Hong Kong at Asia World Expo from April 18-21, 2015.

Han is the company’s newest lifelike humanoid that can react to facial expressions, engage in conversation and even make eye contact. Hanson uses a skin-like material called Frubber on their robots, which looks and feels like human skin. Frubber is a pore silicon material that was invented by Dr. David Hanson, the founder of the company. Grace Copplestone, Product Manager at Hanson said humanoid robots could soon be helping out in the hospitality, entertainment and medical industries.
