We need to start exploring more realistic scenarios where robots are heroes and/or simply blend in with everyday life. Even when we see good examples of this approach – WALL-E, I-Robot, good Terminator – there’s always an evil AI they have to go up against. We need more positive depictions of AI as well as individual robots. Maybe the baddy should be a human that hates progress or an alien species etc.
